Adjusting the Panformer Shear
-shear can be set for different coil widths
-to cut efficiently blades must be adjusted
Correct Shear Setting
-the top bar is positioned so that the female leg is under the middle of the shear blade
-this gives room for the chip to curl and fall free
-this allows a clean cut that will not deform the leg
Incorrect Shear Setting
-the top bar is positioned so that the leftmost blade is too close to the female leg
-this will cause the chips to clog in the teeth of the shear
-the shear will not make a clean cut

-the shear in this picture is set to pierce the top of the leg
-this will result in an uneven and very messy cut
